Job Title: Therapist - Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team for an extended 13-week or longer commitment. As an OTA, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct occupational therapy assessments to identify patients' strengths and challenges • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals • Provide hands-on therapy interventions, such as activities of daily living (ADLs), range of motion exercises, and mobility training • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team • Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment, adhering to infection control and HIPAA protocols
Requirements:
• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies or related field • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or eligible for certification • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations • Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various patient locations (if applicable)
