- Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and float to the CCU as needed
- Manage patients with strong cardiac cases, including surgical and medical cardiac conditions
- Demonstrate proficiency with PA lines, transvenous pacing, and MCS devices such as IABP and Impella
- Adhere to CPR and ACLS standards per AHA guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Massachusetts at the time of submission
- Strong cardiac experience, including PA lines and transvenous pacing
- Experience with MCS devices (IABP, Impella) preferred
- CPR-AHA and ACLS-AHA certification required
- Ability to float between CVICU and CCU as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in surgical or medical cardiac units
- Prior work with PA lines, transvenous pacing, and MCS devices
- Excellent critical thinking and patient management skills

Additional Notes
- All applicants must have valid MA RN licensure at the time of submission
- No local travelers (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility)
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays (excluding holidays)
- Must provide available interview dates and times upon submission
- Recent prior employment at related institutions (within last six months) may affect consideration
- Parking may cost up to $43/day
- Contract includes guaranteed 72 hours every two weeks, excluding on-call hours
- Shifts per week: 3
