• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in a surgical step-down unit.
• Monitor and assess patients post-CV surgery, including those from PACU, with conditions such as carotid endarterectomy, femoral endarterectomy, or AAA repair.
• Utilize advanced cardiac telemetry skills to ensure patient stability and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient status and communicate updates effectively to healthcare team members.
• Manage a patient load of 3 shifts per week with a focus on high-quality, compassionate care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid and active RN license in the state of South Carolina.
• Proven experience in cardiac telemetry and post-op cardiac patient care.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS preferred).
• Ability to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a surgical step-down or CV ICU setting.
• Familiarity with post-operative vascular surgery patients.
• Experience working night shifts in a hospital environment.
