Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized pediatric cardiac intensive care to a diverse patient population in a 29-bed unit.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients with congenital heart disease, post-surgical recovery, and complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO/CRRT, and VAD management.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as needed, and provide family support and education.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, state licensing requirements, and certification standards.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records using EPIC system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU nursing experience, with experience in cardiac or pediatric specialties.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact license.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications through AHA.
• Ability to work 3x12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience.
• ACLS certification through AHA.
• Experience caring for patients with complex congenital heart disease, transplant, or ECMO.
