Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate resident care in accordance with care plans and standards.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper documentation.
• Monitor and observe residents’ conditions, promptly reporting changes to the appropriate staff.
• Safeguard residents’ property, privacy, and confidentiality while promoting independence and personal choice.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly resident living areas.
• Use electronic medical records accurately and efficiently.
• Operate transfer equipment and assist residents with mobility using proper techniques to ensure safety.
• Educate residents and family members as needed regarding care and procedures.
• Follow departmental safety protocols, fire, and disaster plans, and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Valid RN licensure for the state of practice (Minnesota)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of nursing skills and medication effects

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
