• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care to patients recovering from surgery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor patient vital signs, manage pain, and observe for any complications such as bleeding or adverse reactions.
• Administer medications, including drips and ventilator support, as per physician’s orders.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient recovery and safety.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in on-call duties, including one 24-hour weekend shift and three night calls per month.

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• 2+ years recent PACU experience.
• Experience working with patients on drips and ventilators.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Flu vaccination (medical exemptions only).
• Ability to respond within 30 minutes during on-call shifts.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local travelers will not be accepted.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with ECG/telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition.
• Ability to pass on-site ECG and medication tests during onboarding with a score of at least 85%.
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting under a similar PACU environment.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must provide all certifications, licenses, and documentation at the time of submission.
• No holiday time off; 12-hour shifts required on weekends and holidays.
• Orientation sessions scheduled biweekly starting November 17, December 1, and December 8.
• Recent travelers or those who have worked at the facility within the last 6 months are not eligible.
• This is a contract assignment with guaranteed 72 hours every two weeks, excluding on-call time.
