Job Title

• Endoscopy Technician

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, day shift, travel assignment (13 weeks)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of endoscopy equipment and supplies
• Support invasive endoscopic procedures, including EGDs, colonoscopies, ERCPs, and bronchoscopies
• Help establish and maintain sterile fields and assist during endoscopy procedures
• Ensure compliance with sterilization, aseptic techniques, and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient care in the endoscopy department
• Occasionally float to the Operating Room if needed and work on-call every third week

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification (via AHA)
• Previous experience working in an Operating Room or Endoscopy unit preferred
• Experience cleaning and handling endoscopes, especially with ERCP procedures (very important)
• Ability to assist in invasive procedures and maintain sterile techniques

Preferred Experience / Skills

• GI technician experience
• Certification from SGNA or similar organization
• Experience with sterilization concepts, aseptic techniques, and endoscopy instruments
