Job Title
• Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

• Full-time, Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
• 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to OB/GYN patients in a Level 1 perinatal unit.
• Attend to low-risk OB patients, stable newborns (?36 weeks gestation), and high-risk OB patients followed by Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• Stabilize newborns and assist with C-sections, including circulating and scrub roles.
• Monitor fetal and maternal status using central monitoring systems and interpret fetal heart rate strips (EFM).
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors, and assist OB techs/nursing aids.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and adhere to hospital policies, including emergency protocols and drug management.
Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation of license application.
• Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, EFM.
• Experience in stabilizing newborns and circulating for C-sections.
• Ability to titrate drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium.
• Knowledge of OB patient care and neonatal stabilization.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with low and high-risk OB patient management.
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring systems: Philips Fetal Monitoring, EPIC, OBIX.
• Ability to float to other units and assist with various patient care needs.
