Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to orthopedic and trauma patients in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and patient management.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Rapid Response Teams, to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
• Assist with pre-op and post-op orthopedic procedures, including implants, replacements, and repairs.
• Adhere to safe patient handling procedures and utilize orthopedic equipment such as CPM machines and immobilizers.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or trauma setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with orthopedic trauma, elective surgeries, and post-op patient care.
• Proficiency in EPIC EHR system.
• Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic procedures such as hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs.
• Familiarity with orthopedic equipment and safe patient handling techniques.
• Knowledge of rapid response procedures and trauma patient management.
