Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing appropriate pre-hospital care.
- Operate advanced life support ambulance and equipment to deliver patient treatment.
- Assist with the inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of ambulance and medical supplies.
- Coordinate with medical personnel and other responders at emergency scenes.
- Document patient care and complete required reports in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure all safety and OSHA standards are followed, including hazardous material handling and infection control.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification updates relevant to EMS.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas.
- Texas EMT-Paramedic License.
- PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) certification (may be obtained off the clock).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
- PALS certification (AHA).
- Ability to work 24-hour shifts, must be able to handle all age groups from pediatric to geriatric.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 1 year EMS or paramedic experience.
- Prior experience with emergency vehicle operations and emergency medical procedures.
