Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls, including life-threatening situations.
- Provide advanced emergency medical treatment and develop care plans in coordination with physicians.
- Operate and maintain ambulance and medical equipment, ensuring proper functioning and sanitation.
- Lead a team of responders, conducting triage and preparing patients for transport.
- Assist with inspection and inventory of medical equipment and vehicles.
- Complete necessary documentation and administrative tasks in compliance with regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and certifications to maintain EMS standards.
- Collaborate with fire and law enforcement personnel at emergency scenes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas
- EMT-P (Paramedic) license in Texas
- PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) certification (can be obtained off the clock)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 1 year of emergency medical response experience
- Prior experience operating advanced life support ambulances
- Ability to work independently following brief on-site training
