Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to antepartum patients in a high-acuity obstetric unit.
- Monitor and manage high-risk labor and delivery cases, including preterm labor and magnesium sulfate administration.
- Document patient progress accurately using Meditech and CPIN systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a newly renovated Women’s Services Unit.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in floating as needed to support staffing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience in high-risk obstetrics, labor & delivery, or antepartum care.
- BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification.
- Experience managing high acuity patients, including preterm labor and magnesium sulfate protocols.
Preferred Skills / Advanced Skills Needed
- ACLS certification.
- Experience with Meditech EHR systems.
- Knowledge of advanced obstetric nursing practices.
