• Full-time, Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, specialized care to neonates in a Level III NICU, focusing on patients from 22 weeks gestation and above.
• Manage respiratory conditions, including ventilator settings (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) and monitor patient progress.
• Administer medications via Pyxis system, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids.
• Perform and oversee procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, and interventions for neonatal abstinence syndrome.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using the hospital’s electronic health record system.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and families using SBAR protocol.

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state RN licensure in Ohio.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Experience working in NICU Level III and Level IV settings.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience at Nationwide Children’s Hospital preferred.
• Proficiency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Knowledge of gastrointestinal feeding methods and NG/NJ tube management.
• Strong infection control skills and IV therapy expertise, including umbilical line management.

• Strict adherence to Ohio fingerprinting process and immediate completion required upon contract signing.
• Candidates outside Ohio within driving distance must visit in person for fingerprinting; those farther will receive a mailed packet for urgent completion.
• RTO requests must be included with submission and built into contract.
• Two professional references are required, including at least one leadership reference.
• Candidates must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing to avoid potential push or cancellation.
