- Full-time, day shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a busy, Level I Trauma Center specializing in adult trauma and acute surgical cases
- Manage a variety of patient conditions including trauma, post-surgical recovery, and emergency cases
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize EPIC charting system effectively for documentation
- Respond to emergency situations such as trauma, burns, and traumatic brain injuries
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Valid State RN license (Missouri or compact license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Medical-Surgical or trauma settings
- Ability to pass Relias EKG certification and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
- BLS certification required
- Willingness to float within scope across units as needed
- Experience with IV insertion, blood product administration, wound care, and use of hospital equipment such as spinal cord injury management devices, chest tubes, and ventilators
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous work in a Level I Trauma Center or similar acute care environment
- EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system experience
- Familiarity with trauma patient diagnoses, including geriatric trauma, abuse/violence victims, MVA, MVC, falls, and post-surgical recovery
