Key Responsibilities
- Provide intensive care nursing for ICU patients, including cardiac, neuro, and medical-surgical cases.
- Float to other units such as Emergency Department, ICU, or UCU to support patient care.
- Follow established protocols and provide critical care to high-acuity patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain all required documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
- Adhere to on-call and weekend rotation requirements, including holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, particularly in cardiac and neuro units.
- Current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Epic EMR experience.
- Ability to pass an EKG test.
- Skills checklist and recent references.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong critical care skills with experience in diverse ICU settings.
- Experience in busy hospital environments with float requirements.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and weekend rotations.
