Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to CVOR patients, including open heart and vascular procedures.
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques.
• Monitor and recognize ECG rhythms; respond appropriately to cardiac rhythms during procedures.
• Complete required assessments and documentation for each case, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure efficient operative outcomes.
• Follow facility policies for holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent CVOR experience in a hospital setting.
• Open Heart and Vascular experience preferred.
• Must have at least 18 months of perm CVOR experience prior to travel assignments.
• Ability to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, with acceptable scores.
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the CVOR specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a travel nursing assignment is a plus.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and patient care.
