Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced ER setting
- Obtain and document initial patient assessments, establish priorities based on patient needs and acuity
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, making timely adjustments as necessary
- Perform point-of-care testing and assist with procedures as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes and smooth departmental operations
- Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and support during crises
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or a current Compact state license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in emergency or trauma environments
- Ability to function effectively under pressure in a high-stress setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
