- Full-time, 12-hour shifts, days
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Float between units as needed, including dementia care units.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to facility protocols, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Work closely with patients to meet their individual care needs, including administering medications and treatments.
- Support patient and family education regarding health conditions and care procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont.
- Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience, with LTC/SNF experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification through AHA.
- Ability to pass a 7-year nationwide background check, including county court searches, FACIS3, and sex offender registry.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- Willingness to float to other units as needed.
- Comfortable working with dementia patients.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with elderly populations and dementia care.
- Flexibility to work holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day.
- Ability to work 3 shifts per week, including every other weekend and occasional schedule adjustments to meet patient needs.
- Reliable transportation, personal or rental vehicle, equipped for winter months.
