Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Hilo, HI
Schedule / Job Type
Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week, variable day and night shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care for laboring mothers, including assistance during delivery and immediate postpartum care for both mother and newborn
- Monitor fetal well-being using GE/Centricity fetal monitoring systems
- Document patient care using computerized systems such as Meditech
- Assist with procedures related to labor and delivery
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout labor and postpartum stages
- Participate in on-call rotations at least once per month
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience
- Current and active Hawaii Registered Nurse license (must be obtained prior to start if not already held)
- BLS and NRP certifications (required)
- Knowledge of GE/Centricity fetal monitoring systems and Meditech
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (recommended)
- STABLE and other specialized certifications (preferred)
