Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing appropriate pre-hospital care.
• Operate advanced life support ambulance and equipment to deliver patient treatment.
• Assist with the inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of ambulance and medical supplies.
• Coordinate with medical personnel and other responders at emergency scenes.
• Document patient care and complete required reports in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure all safety and OSHA standards are followed, including hazardous material handling and infection control.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification updates relevant to EMS.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas.
• Texas EMT-Paramedic License.
• PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) certification (may be obtained off the clock).
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• PALS certification (AHA).
• Ability to work 24-hour shifts, must be able to handle all age groups from pediatric to geriatric.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year EMS or paramedic experience.
• Prior experience with emergency vehicle operations and emergency medical procedures.
