Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to a student in a school setting, adhering to individualized healthcare plans
- Monitor and manage student medical needs, including seizures and blood sugar levels
- Administer medications and perform feeding, hygiene, and toileting support as needed
- Ensure student safety during transportation and within the school environment
- Maintain detailed documentation of nursing services provided
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Ability to work 3 days per week, alternating shifts from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (11.5 hours)
- Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
- Must have three professional references available upon submission
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting at designated agency prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with students with special healthcare needs or in cooperative programming
- Knowledge of emergency care procedures and medication administration in a school setting
- Comfortable performing lifting, toileting, and hygiene assistance
