Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls, including life-threatening situations.
• Provide advanced emergency medical treatment and develop care plans in coordination with physicians.
• Operate and maintain ambulance and medical equipment, ensuring proper functioning and sanitation.
• Lead a team of responders, conducting triage and preparing patients for transport.
• Assist with inspection and inventory of medical equipment and vehicles.
• Complete necessary documentation and administrative tasks in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and certifications to maintain EMS standards.
• Collaborate with fire and law enforcement personnel at emergency scenes.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas
• EMT-P (Paramedic) license in Texas
• PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) certification (can be obtained off the clock)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of emergency medical response experience
• Prior experience operating advanced life support ambulances
• Ability to work independently following brief on-site training
