Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3 shifts per week, Day shift (12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various pediatric units including NICU, PICU, peds med-surg, peds ED, and postpartum/mother-baby.
• Provide advanced nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patients, adhering to unit protocols and policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting within the Epic system.
• Follow all safety and compliance standards, including BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS requirements.
• Support unit staffing needs by floating within scope of practice as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
• NICU and PICU float pool experience preferred.
• Current state nursing license (pending licenses accepted with a confirmed in-hand license before start).
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Must have Epic electronic medical record experience.
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding certification or pending submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred.
• Previous float pool experience in NICU/PICU.
• Knowledge of UVAs float policy and compliance standards.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different pediatric units and practices.
