Key Responsibilities
- Assist in scrubbing orthopedics, spine, neuro, general, bariatrics, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, and C-sections surgeries
- Ensure accurate skills match for trauma, ortho, general, and urology cases
- Support patient care across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Adhere to hospital protocols during surgical procedures
- Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate units as needed, based on skill set and census
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years surgical tech experience, including orthopedics and spine cases
- Experience with scrubbing ortho/totals and spine surgeries
- Certification in BCLS and NBSTSA (or NCCT)
- Accurate skills matching 3’s or above on trauma, orthopedics, general, and urology checklist
- NC or Compact licensed, with license in hand at start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous traveler experience accepted for first-time travelers
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Additional Details
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and every other Friday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Call required: Average of 1 night/week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks
- Holidays are mandatory; no RTO during the first week of assignment
- Travel compliance: Must enter the lab within 48 hours of start and complete testing within 48 hours
- Scrubs provided: Light Blue
- Candidate can be part of a travel pair, but must work on different units and be submitted accordingly
- References and licensure must be verified prior to start
