Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret laboratory tests in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processing of specimens across various departments including blood bank, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation such as Beckman Coulter hematology analyzers and Werfen coagulation devices.
- Adhere to quality control, safety procedures, and documentation requirements to uphold laboratory accreditation standards.
- Demonstrate leadership and critical thinking in troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing workflow.
- Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Lab Scientist.
- Certification as an MLT, Medical Technologist, or CLS (ASCP or AMT).
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience with blood bank techniques, gel and tube methods.
- Proficiency with Beckman Coulter hematology analyzers (520, 690), manual differential, body fluid cell counts, and urine microscopic procedures.
- Familiarity with top coagulation instrumentation and laboratory safety protocols.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Werfen coagulation equipment.
- Knowledge of laboratory workflow in a hospital setting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent laboratory skills.
