Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care to telemetry patients in a cardiac unit.
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Assess patient conditions, perform nursing assessments, and document patient history and care provided.
- Educate patients and their families regarding their health, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adhere to unit standards.
- Demonstrate independence and clinical judgment in managing diverse patient needs within the telemetry unit.
Required Qualifications
- Active Louisiana or Compact RN License.
- Current BLS certification via AHA.
- Current ACLS certification via AHA.
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work during day shifts (7 AM – 7 PM).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in telemetry or cardiac nursing.
- Knowledge of Telemetry patient care protocols and procedures.
- Strong assessment and communication skills.
