Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to a 20-bed ICU unit with a patient ratio of 2:1.
• Manage complex patient conditions including arterial lines, vasopressor and cardiovascular drips, and ventilated patients.
• Perform bedside procedures such as central line placement and participate in protocols like massive transfusions.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with unit staff, including secretaries and technicians, to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year critical care nursing experience.
• Valid ACLS certification.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system.
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Ability to manage advanced ICU equipment including GE monitors, Alaris pumps, and ventilators.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, and vasopressor/drip infusions.
• Prior experience in a high-acuity ICU setting.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and emergency protocols.
