Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Assist with intubations and ventilator management independently
- Perform bedside procedures including UAC/UVC/PICC line placement, surgical procedures, lumbar punctures, and chest tube management
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses using NICU equipment such as HFOV, SIMV, NIMV, CPAP, and monitors
- Support family education and follow hospital protocols for neonatal care and emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and GE Centricity
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of California
- Must possess Level III NICU experience
- Certification in NRP, BLS, and PALS
- Proficiency with ventilator management and invasive bedside procedures
- Ability to independently handle respiratory and procedural supports in NICU setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience attending high-risk deliveries
- Knowledge of Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO (starting in March) equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and adaptability skills
