Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, 3x12-hour shifts, Days (7a-7p), with Holiday Rotation, on-call not required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) for critically ill patients
- Monitor and respond to patient needs with a focus on cardiac and neuro cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, covering similar units or sister facilities as required
- Adhere to hospital policies, including holiday rotation and weekend shifts as scheduled
- Ensure accurate documentation using Epic electronic charting software
Required Qualifications
- Valid SC or Compact nursing license in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience (preferably 2 years)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in cardiac and neuro patient care
- Ability to quickly adapt to hospital protocols and electronic medical records
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
