Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care on a 36-bed Medical Oncology Telemetry unit with a majority of beds dedicated to PCU-level care
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias using a GE telemetry system
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, PCA pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer blood products, manage heparin protocols, and operate cardiac drips including titration
• Provide respiratory support including external CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management
• Adhere to strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures; float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission; must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Minimum of high-acuity PCU patient experience required
• Current BLS (BCLS), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, central/PICC line management, IV insertion, and blood product administration
• Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), ABG interpretation, and feeding tube care and management
• Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two or more years of oncology nursing experience (not required but preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Skills in chemotherapy administration and monitoring, arterial line management, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, and phlebotomy
• Experience with non-invasive airway management and surgical drains
