Candidates must have experience with the following procedures: Spirometry, DLCO, lung volumes, MVO2, blood gases, methacholine challenge, 6 minute walk test Candidates must have experience using the following machines: Vyaire VMAX, Vyaire Vyntus, MGC Platinum Elite, MGC Ultima · EMR – Meditech, Tele results Unit Information: Pulmonary Function (738) Location: Methodist Hospital Address: 7700 Floyd Curl Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229 Floor: 3 rd floor Central Tower Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – · Number of Staff – core team 5 PFT techs · Type of staff: o Monday-Friday 0700-1600 · Patient Ratios – support of inpatient, outpatient PFTs, heart and lung clinic, BMT clinic, pedi clinic · Type of equipment – Vyaire VMAX, Vyaire Vyntus, MGC Platinum Elite, MGC Ultima · EMR – Meditech, Teleresults Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · 1 year PFT experience with one of the machines listed above · Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · · List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Spirometry, DLCO, lung volumes, MVO2, blood gases, methacholine challenge, 6 minute walk test · Best personality Fit: · Flexible, patient focused REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · CRT or RRT, BLS, ACLS, Texas RCP license Floating Area(s): · none Dress Code : · Scrub Color/Attire – olive/sage scrub top, black scrub bottom, will accept all black (olive/sage hard to find at times) Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. · Weekends and On call(if any) · No weekends, call is rotated between PFT techs approximately every 4 weeks.
