Unit Profiles : Unit Information: Location: Building: Centerpoint Medical Center Floor: First Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 75026 Discipline: Echo Shift: Monday through Friday 4 10 hour shifts 0630-1700 Call Requirements: Yes; callback within 30 minutes Weekends: On call and occasional for vacation coverage General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Staff – Ideally 8 full time sonographers · Type of staff: o Day Shift 3-5 sonographers staffed per day o Weekend option covers Saturday and Sunday · Type of equipment – GE; Merge · EMR –Merge, Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · RDCS-Registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer through ARDMS · OR · RCS- Registered cardiac sonographer through CCI Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Minimum 3 years’ experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Transthoracic Echo · Transesophageal echo · Stress echo · Intra-procedural TEE List any machines and/or equipment used on the unit: · GE Vivid E95 · Merge structured reporting Dress Code : · Scrub Color – black · Or · Hospital laundered surgical scrubs Unit Guidelines/Policies : · ICAEL accredited Awards/Recognition: · Excellent teamwork with cardiologists · Excellent collaboration with stress RNs and procedural areas · Weekly huddles to review complex cases and discuss learning opportunities
