SEASONAL-CONTRACT-RT(754)-13 WEEKS-7P-7A Unit Profiles : The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.    Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff.     Below you will find a data collection tool to help you identify essential data needed to complete your profile.     Data Collection : Unit Information:   Location: Building: SDMC Floor: N/A—RT department is in basement Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 75479 Discipline: Respiratory Therapy Quantity: 1 Target Start Date: ASAP Shift: Nights/Days Call Requirements: N/A Weekends: Rotating—4 weekend shifts per month General Information Tell us about the unit(s): ·         Number of Beds – N/A ·         Number of Staff – 50 ·         Type of staff: o     Day Shift – 1 supervisor on shift, 7-9 staff o     Night Shift – 1 supervisor on shift, 7-9 staff ·         Patient Ratios – assignments are based on volume, not number of patients for RT—about 35-40 per shift ·         Type of equipment – GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, Airvo HFNC ·         EMR – Meditech ·         Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) – Y Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:    (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)   Must have :    candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ·           Adult respiratory experience in an acute care setting Preferred or nice to have :    candidates with these skills will be considered first. ·           Adult critical care experience/ICU, ED List typical procedures performed on unit(s):    ·            Standard RT procedures (Nebulizers, CPT, arterial blood gasses, ventilator management, inhaled nitric oxide, bronchoscopy assistance, intubation assistance, transporting with mechanical ventilation within the hospital—for example to CT/MRI) Best personality Fit: ·           Someone who is able to easily collaborate with team members in the RT department as well as other disciplines in the hospital Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. ·         Scrub Color –    Olive green tops/black pants   Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment:    Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc.    * Remember it is a  very  competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent .
