Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care nursing to cardiac and ECMO patients in a specialized CVICU setting.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data.
- Administer titratable drips and manage complex ventilator, trach, and ECMO therapies.
- Perform procedures such as central line placement, chest tube insertion, and tracheostomies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas or appropriate state license.
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, rhythms, and hemodynamics.
- Knowledge of respiratory care: vents, BiPAP, trachs, airvo.
- Experience with open heart surgery recovery and ECMO management.
- Proficiency with titratable drips, CRRT, SLED, and impella devices.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior charge nurse experience in CVICU or ICU.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
