Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care to patients of all ages, including assessments and interventions based on established standards.
• Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, pulmonary function tests, EKGs, and oxygen therapy.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory and cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Respond to emergency situations such as Code Blue calls, providing CPR and ventilatory support as needed.
• Document all procedures accurately, manage departmental records, and assist in quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Current licensure by the State of Iowa as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT, CRT, RCP).
• Certification in Abuse Reporting within 6 months of employment.
• Certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand fluent English.
• Experience with Windows-based applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience performing cardiac stress testing and Holter monitoring.
• Knowledge of all respiratory medications and therapeutic equipment.
• Ability to perform patient assessments and coordinate with physicians for appropriate therapy.
