Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 16-32 week assignment, nights shift

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced patient care within the Intensive Medical Cardiac (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Stepdown units.
• Float to appropriate units as needed, demonstrating flexibility in assignments.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions, including cardiac drips, insulin therapy, and post-cardiac cath care.
• Administer medications, perform IV starts, and utilize the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including appropriate use of equipment and infection control measures.

Required Qualifications
• Active NY Registered Nurse license or proof of application with applied date.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry or ICU/PCU experience.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, cardiac drips, and post-procedure care.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records within the past 2 years.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation, with snow tires recommended for winter months.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with complex cardiac cases and telemetry monitoring.
• Knowledge of insulin and cardiac drips management.
• Ability to work independently and within a float team.
