  • Full-time, day shifts, 4x10-hour shifts (8:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
• Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the operating room across multiple service lines, excluding cardiovascular.
  • Assist with a range of surgical procedures including general, trauma, bariatric, neurology, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, urology, and trauma cases.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, radiation safety, and universal procedures such as time-out and specimen handling.
  • Administer blood products, manage anesthesia equipment, and support sterile technique during surgeries.
  • Respond to emergency situations including codes, fires, and trauma incidents ensuring patient safety.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to support patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of operating room nursing experience.
  • Current Illinois RN license or active application.
  • BLS certification required; CNOR and CST preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Cerner charting system preferred.
  • Level I trauma experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license with residence at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with laparoscopic-assisted procedures, including bariatric and general surgery.
  • Familiarity with neurology, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, and urology surgeries.
  • Open to working within a level I trauma hospital environment.
