Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical nursing care in an operating room environment for diverse procedures including neuro, orthopedic, robotic, urology, plastic, cardiac, and transplant surgeries
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care, ensuring safety and comfort
- Collaborate with surgical team members, including surgeons, techs, and anesthesiologists, to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized OR equipment such as Da Vinci XI, Globus, Mako, microscopes, and other robotic systems
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech, following hospital policies and protocols
- Adhere to strict infection control and dress code policies, including scrubs and uniform standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based OR experience, preferably in neuro, general, or transplant surgeries
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
- Recent experience working with robotic surgical systems and advanced OR equipment
- Ability to float as needed and work varied shifts including weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Robotic surgery experience (Da Vinci XI, Mako) and Meditech system proficiency
- Neuro surgery experience, including craniotomy procedures
- Strong patient communication skills and compassionate care approach
