Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical nursing care in an operating room environment for diverse procedures including neuro, orthopedic, robotic, urology, plastic, cardiac, and transplant surgeries
• Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care, ensuring safety and comfort
• Collaborate with surgical team members, including surgeons, techs, and anesthesiologists, to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized OR equipment such as Da Vinci XI, Globus, Mako, microscopes, and other robotic systems
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech, following hospital policies and protocols
• Adhere to strict infection control and dress code policies, including scrubs and uniform standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based OR experience, preferably in neuro, general, or transplant surgeries
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Recent experience working with robotic surgical systems and advanced OR equipment
• Ability to float as needed and work varied shifts including weekends

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Robotic surgery experience (Da Vinci XI, Mako) and Meditech system proficiency
• Neuro surgery experience, including craniotomy procedures
• Strong patient communication skills and compassionate care approach
