Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
• Monitor and manage cardiac devices, including PA lines, transvenous pacing, and assist with Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) devices such as IABP and Impella.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure all nursing procedures are performed in compliance with hospital guidelines and safety standards.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
• Respond to patient emergencies promptly and effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of MA.
• Experience working in a CVICU or CCU with strong cardiac care background.
• Expertise with PA lines, transvenous pacing, and Mechanical Circulatory Support devices (IABP, Impella).
• CPR (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certification.
• Ability to float between CCU and CVICU floors as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong prior experience in cardiac surgical or medical units.
• Familiarity with working in a fast-paced critical care environment.
• Experience with PA lines, transvenous pacing, and MCS devices preferred.

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Weekly orientation sessions every Monday, barring holidays.
• Guaranteed hours of 36 per week, with up to 72 hours biweekly; on-call hours are not guaranteed.
• Parking may cost up to $43 per day.
• Travelers who worked for this organization as perm within the last six months are not eligible.
