Registered Nurse - SICU

Schedule / Job Type:

Rotating shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, full-time contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for surgical patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including transplant, hepatobiliary, and general surgery cases
• Maintain patient safety and comfort through accurate assessment, planning, and intervention
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records using Epic system
• Adhere to all hospital protocols, including safety and infection control procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2-3 years of ICU-related work experience, specifically in SICU or trauma/Level 1 trauma settings
• Current CPR (AHA) and ACLS certifications
• Experience in trauma, transplant, or hepatobiliary patient care
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts and every other weekend
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a high-acuity surgical ICU environment
• Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
