Key Responsibilities
• Operate and perform all technical and mechanical aspects of MRI procedures, including patient positioning and selecting appropriate technical factors.
• Assess and recognize normal and abnormal anatomy or pathology to tailor each exam accordingly.
• Review imaging with radiologists, contributing technical expertise and ensuring diagnostic quality.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, staff, physicians, and medical office personnel.
• Perform Point of Care Testing and oversee QA and maintenance of Point of Care equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of clinical history requirements for each MRI exam.
Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited MRI training program or current R.T. (MRI) (ARRT) registration.
• MRI registration and CPR certification are required.
• Minimum of 8 hours per shift, working rotating days/evenings on a 5-day weekly schedule.
• Strong ability to work independently in a high-pressure setting.
• Experience with GE MRI systems is required.
• Ability to work at a quick pace with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in a hospital or imaging center environment.
• Excellent patient communication skills and ability to adapt to varying patient needs.
