- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 4 shifts per week, 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care and assessment to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Conduct patient reviews and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including BLS and PALS certifications.
- Work rotating or night shifts, including every other weekend and two out of three winter holidays.
- Manage documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Support patient families and provide compassionate, family-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or pending licensure approval.
- BLS and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric nursing experience; 2+ years preferred.
- Experience in Pediatric Cardiac Care is a plus.
- Ability to work night shifts and handle rotating schedules.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric ICU or critical care experience.
- Existing VA nursing license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Ability to approve up to 40 hours for time off after initial contract period.
