Registered Nurse PICU
Job Title
-Registered Nurse - PICU
Location
-Charlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job Type
-12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, 4 shifts per week, temporary | 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical review and patient assessments within the PICU setting
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
- Document patient progress and care activities accurately
- Support family education and communication
Required Qualifications
- Valid Virginia nursing license (or pending license submission)
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric cardiac experience (2+ years preferred)
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric cardiac care experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work nights or rotating shifts
- Availability to work during two of the three winter holidays and every other weekend
