- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 nights per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in a surgical step-down unit
- Monitor and assess patients ranging from 17 to 24 hours post-op, including recent carotid endarterectomy, femoral endarterectomy, and AAA repairs
- Manage patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and recovery of post-CV surgery patients
- Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient treatment plans and communicate updates effectively
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interventions
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current RN license in the state of South Carolina
- At least 1-2 years of cardiac Telemetry nursing experience
- Experience caring for post-op cardiac and vascular surgery patients
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong assessment and communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a surgical step-down or ICU setting
- Familiarity with post-operative cardiovascular procedures and recovery protocols
