Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• 12-hour night shifts, part-time (3 shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and acute care alongside fellow RNs in a critical access hospital setting
• Perform typical RN duties including IV starts, foley catheter placements, and patient assessments
• Support patient care in med/surg, outpatient, and emergency departments with floating between units as needed
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including badge in/out procedures
• Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure efficient and quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active South Dakota State or Compact License
• At least 2 years of ER experience
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• EPIC electronic medical record experience (preferred)
• Ability to float across units/departments
• Must have all certifications and be able to cover ER as charge nurse if needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Critical Access Hospital experience
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitors and Lifepak 15
• Prior experience working with Sanford Health (end date at previous employment at least 6 months prior)
