• Rotating shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 30-bed medical surgical and 8-bed progressive care unit, focusing on safe patient outcomes.
• Manage a variety of procedures including oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, moderate sedation monitoring, chest tubes, tracheostomies, postoperative care, and mechanical ventilation.
• Document patient care using electronic medical records systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for a diverse patient population.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and unit policies.
• Adapt to patient needs through flexible coverage across multiple units.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of South Dakota (SD) or a compact state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical and telemetry patient care experience.
• Experience with oxygen titration, BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow therapy preferred.
• Ability to float to other units/departments as needed, including Med-Surg and IMC.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification in Progressive Care Nursing or related specialty preferred.
• Experience in pulmonary or critical care settings.
• Familiarity with Epic documentation system and Alaris pumps.
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
