Job Title

• Respiratory Therapist (NICU Travel Assignment)

Location

• Margate, FL

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care and treatment to neonatal patients in the NICU setting.
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including high-frequency ventilators (JET) and oscillators.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and manage respiratory insufficiencies in neonatal patients.
• Support patient stabilization and recovery through evidence-based respiratory interventions.
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols and departmental policies.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Required Qualifications

• Current registered respiratory therapist (RRT) credential.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; NRP certification for NICU required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience.
• Experience with high-frequency ventilators (JET) and oscillators preferred.
• Proficiency in Meditech electronic medical record system.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU or neonatal intensive care experience.
• Knowledge of stroke care and advanced neonatal respiratory procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong patient care focus with critical thinking skills.
