Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and assess maternal condition during labor.
- Assist with childbirth and postpartum procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions in electronic medical records.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards and hospital policies during patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid MT or compact state nursing license, active and on file at submission.
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
- Certification in fetal heart monitoring (e.g., AWHONN) required.
- Experience with Epic EMR system required.
- OB nursing experience with OR circulator skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating to medical-surgical units, ICU, or ER as needed.
- Ability to assist with stable adult overflow patients on the floor.
- Prior experience working in a hospital setting within a 100-mile radius of the location.
