Registered Nurse - PreOp

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgery by reviewing medical history, reconciling medications, obtaining vital signs, and starting IVs.
• Monitor and care for post-anesthesia patients during recovery, including vital sign assessment and discharge procedures.
• Administer medications, fluids, and pre-op/pacemaker medications as ordered.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR nurses to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Support a variety of procedures including orthopedics, interventional radiology, and GI scopes.
• Maintain patient safety and documentation in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid SC or multi-state/compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced setting and float within scope if needed
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with no weekends, nights, or major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in preoperative and post-anesthesia care units (PACU)
• Familiarity with orthopedic, VIR, and GI procedures
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
