Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) to ensure safe recovery from anesthesia.
- Provide perioperative nursing care in pre-anesthesia, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia phases.
- Administer sedation and monitor local anesthesia patients in the operating room.
- Communicate effectively with surgical teams and act as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process.
- Supervise and direct assigned personnel to deliver quality patient care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support the hospital's mission, vision, and values through adherence to care protocols and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
- Experience in perioperative or PACU nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of anesthesia procedures and patient monitoring.
- Ability to work efficiently on a scheduled rotation, including being on call for the Post-Anesthesia Unit.
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a surgical or recovery unit.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
